PROJECT SUMMARYThe goal of this study is to develop a Master Plan to address flooding, stream stability, and water quality in the Murphy Creek area. The project team will incorporate public input, gather existing information, conduct field investigations, and develop and evaluate alternatives to produce a feasible drainage and flood control plan. STUDY PROGRESSAt this point in the study, the hydrology has been developed and the Final Hydrology report was submitted to the project sponsors in April of 2006. The floodplain models and delineations have been completed for the mainstem and tributaries. The DFIRM files have been submitted to the UDFCD and the FHAD was submitted in August of 2006. The final alternatives evaluation report was submitted in March 2007. Preliminary plan and profiles sheets were distributed for comment. Additional reaches will be discussed during the next meeting. |
